I work alongside you to create a treatment plan that will be sustainable and provide you with the tools and knowledge needed to address current and future challenges. I incorporate and take inspiration from many different therapy modalities including; solutions-focused therapy, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and the Gottman Method.
I affirm the healing power of humor and try to incorporate moments of laughter (and a pinch of sarcasm!) when appropriate in sessions. I also understand that in this work it is my honor and responsibility to walk alongside my clients through some of their most difficult chapters in life.
Each session we will explore current stressors and resiliencies, dissect unhelpful thought/behavioral patterns, and support you in becoming more attuned to your own emotional landscape. From that very first appointment and all sessions thereafter, we will create a therapeutic connection built on mutual respect and shared understanding of the task ahead.
